Product summary:

Engineered to deal with the toughest heating oil storage situations, Titan's ES1300 Bunded Oil Tank is specifically designed to exceed all current oil storage regulations making it a robust and future-proof purchase.

The ES1300 comes with a choice of either a 1” BSP bottom outlet or top mounted outlet and is now available with the Watchman Alarm Oil Tank Gauge.  This not only constantly reads the contents of the tank but also incorporates a “sudden oil loss” alarm should oil levels suddenly drop due to theft or an oil leak.  In addition it also incorporates SpillStop overfill prevention protection making this a very safe and environmentally-friendly solution suitable for a variety of installations.

Whilst the tank is primarily engineered for use in home heating oil installations it is also ideal in commercial, institutional and agricultural properties where bunded solutions are mandatory.

  • Plastic, fully bunded oil storage tank
  • OFTEC approved with ten year guarantee
  • 10 year guarentee on EcoSafe tanks
  • Spillstop overfill prevention device for safety purposes
  • Watchman Alarm technology to keep track of oil levels
  • Optional Tigerloop (oil de-aerator) on request

The Titan ES1300 Bunded Oil Tank can only be used for heating oil storage and NOT as part of a gravity feed vehicle fuelling system. Instead see our range of Titan Bunded Diesel Tanks. which are suitable for vehicle refuelling.

Top Outlet Bunded Oil Tanks:

Titan's top outlet, bunded oil tanks are only compatible with a pressure jet boiler or oil lifting equipment. If you are unsure if this is the right one for your requirements contact your boiler manufacturer directly.

Is there a difference between the types of tanks?

Yes, there are lots of differences between the types of oil storage tanks and these are also available in a variety of sizes.

• Single skin tanks (non bunded) are used more in residential situations rather than commercial. However, a bunded version may be required in a residential situation dependant on the results of a risk assessment, to prevent any pollution from occurring.
• A bunded tank is a tank within a tank or a tank surrounded by a protective wall. Bunded tanks are used to prevent pollution and accidental spillage, containing any leaks within the second tank. Normally used in commercial surroundings.
• Double skinned tanks are like bunded tanks, but possess two protective walls with a small gap between.

Why does the tank base have to measure 300mm around the perimeter of the oil tank?

The fire protection provided by the base is to help prevent the tank itself from becoming overgrown and in turn to help protect against fire spreading across the ground to the contained fuel from another source. If the tank is raised on piers, the platform supporting the tank should be sized to sufficiently support the tank. Reference should be made to the tank manufacturer’s installation instructions.

What are the base requirements for plastic oil tanks?

When installing a plastic oil tank bear in mind these requirements:
Plastic oil tanks must be installed on a flat, level and fire resistant base
The base should be capable of supporting the weight of the tank when fully laden
If concrete slabs are used they should be a minimum of 50mm thick
The base should extend at least 300mm beyond the widest points of the tank and fully support the base of the tank in its entirety
